Maybe people think I'm crazy or mad. We'd bought lots of strawberries again! The same place as before, the strawberry avenue in Shizuoka city.
This time we bought about 6 kg! That's more than we bought last time.
Two times more than this photo. It's a lot, isn't it?
At first, you pour all washed strawberries into a big pan after debuttoning. Just strawberries, no water no sugar. If you add sugar at this time, the color won't be clear. That was an advice from strawberry farmer at the shop. Keep a high heat until most of them melt.
You see white bubbles? That's scum and you need to skim them carefully.
Afther this photo, my husband took over as I got sleepy. So no more photos... He should had added some sugar and boiled until it got thick. He loves making jams. So far, he's tried ume, apple and grapefruit and they all turned out good! Oisi(delicious)!! Yum, yum! |
